Principal Eric Whittaker is the newest member of the administrative team here at Fayetteville Christian School. In his short time here at FCS, he has brought several new technologies to our staff and students, increased communications within the FCS community, provided new opportunities and professional development for our teachers, and created new programs to help our students excel.
Mr. Whittaker surrendered to the educational ministry at FCS in 2013. It is a daily adventure in accepting this calling, and he is humbled to serve the many wonderful FCS students, staff, and families we have here.
Prior to his principalship, Mr. Whittaker served as a classroom teacher in the Bentonville School District. In this role, he had the joy of teaching almost 900 children directly over his eight years. He worked closely with school leaders in the school’s Program Improvement Committee as well as leading curriculum in-services. Mr. Whittaker was given the prestigious Teacher of the Year Award by his colleagues in 2012-2013. We are proud to have him here at Fayetteville Christian School!
As an experienced classroom teacher, Mr. Whittaker has a deep appreciation for students’ academic development and is eager to support FCS teachers. He is excited about continuing to bring new technologies and growth to our school, but he is most enthusiastic about fulfilling the FCS Mission within each classroom and the overall growth of our students and programs.
Mr. Whittaker earned his Bachelor’s of Science degree at John Brown University and his Master’s in Educational Leadership from Arkansas State University. When he isn’t working, Mr. Whittaker enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. He enjoys being outdoors, riding his bike on the trails, and enjoying God’s wonderful creation.
