Dr. William Brian Disney, BSEE, MSEE, Ed D
Dr. W.B. Disney, who goes by “Bro. Brian” was born in Hugo, Oklahoma on September 27, 1936. After serving in the US Navy, he returned and married his wife, Mrs. Martha in 1960.
Bro. Brian received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, a Master’s of Science in Electrical Engineering, and his Educational Doctorate in Educational Administration from the University of Arkansas here in Fayetteville.
He was the Corporate Director of Standards at Texas Instruments in 1966 where he served on the 1964 Mars Mariner Team which was 1st in the Space Capsule Exploration around Mars returning data from the backside of the planet Mars.
In 1970, he became and ordained Baptist minister. That same year he received an NDEA Teaching Fellowship where he returned to the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. During his time at the University of Arkansas, he began a campus outreach ministry that eventually led to the Rodger’s Baptist Church Mission. Out of this mission came Mission Boulevard Baptist Church in 1975 and Bro. Brian was the pastor. In 1976, plans began for the families of Mission Blvd. Baptist church to start a collective homeschool so that they could teach their children the Bible as well as academic courses. All the teachers agreed at that time to be volunteers in an effort to keep the cost of the school affordable. In 1978, Mission Blvd. Christian School began. Today that same school is now Fayetteville Christian School. Bro. Brian has volunteered his time over the years as an instructor, coach, and mentor.
